5 Essentials You Need to Build the Perfect Home Office

The question of how to set up a home office is not as simple as some might think. A lot of thought should go into the organisation of creating a space that allows you to work productively and comfortably throughout the duration of your career. Of course, acquiring the right office furniture and stationery is vital when it comes to your planning process. Here are five essentials you need to build the perfect home office.

  1. The perfect chair

It seems painfully obvious, but investing in the right kind of chair is critical in creating an ideal home office. The right office chairs encourage better posture, comfort and overall health. Choosing a chair with lumbar support, a backrest, and dimensions suited specifically to your build is important when building the ideal home office with high-quality office furniture.

  1. Notepads, notepads and more notepads

Each and every single person who works in an office understands the intrinsic value of notepads. They are vital in an individual’s organisation, note-taking, and client management. Yes, the digital era has paved the way for online note-taking, but most people prefer to use an old-fashioned pen and paper when it comes to jotting important information down quickly. You could even invest in personalised notepads for your home office. These are ideal for when clients come to visit you onsite. Like business cards, they keep your brand message at the forefront of people’s minds.

  1. A trusty shredder

In an age increasingly aware of GDPR and the horror of identity theft, having equipment available to eliminate sensitive documents and information is an invaluable component of your home office. Choose the model of your shredder according to the size of your business and how much paper information you need to dispose of on a daily basis.

  1. A bespoke mousepad

Ever suffered from acute wrist pain caused by using the wrong type of mousepad (flat and poor-quality)? It’s an issue you can easily avoid by investing in a mousepad that is made of bespoke material and provides optimum wrist support. Mousepads also offer a smooth surface to help their user to navigate a mouse better, improving their overall experience when on the computer. You might think that mousepads are outdated, but they are guaranteed to improve your overall health and comfort in the long run.

  1. Slick wifi

Good wifi isn’t always easy to come by. The last thing you want is continuous connection issues when on the phone to clients. Nor do you want connection issues when trying to send large and important files or lead video conferences. You need to ensure that that your network reaches your home office space. If not, you will need to invest in a range extender.

So, don’t sit and question how to build a home office that caters to your needs. Invest in these 5 essentials and you’ll enjoy the perfect home office every day.

  1. Thank you for the I formation however I would like to rent out my open plan modern living room and kitchen. I have 8 metres of glass overlooking my garden directly in front is a feikd and views of sully island, steepholm and flat Holm. This is a hugely relaxing view with sounds of the sea splashing on the rocks. Access to the beach is approximately 50 metres away. I have another newly built garden room equipped with wifi and TV, sofa and tables again this could compliment the large living space.
I believe my space could be offered to people that want ocxassional meetings spaces or just somewhere to work away from the city of Cardiff. Please can you advise me how to go about renting my space out?

    Thank you
