The image quality of this monitor is excellent. The colors are accurate and the images look vibrant. IPS panels have the best color accuracy out of all the panels. They are used by professional graphic designers because of their accurate colors. You will not have any issues with washed-out colors with it as you see in TN panel monitors. The AOC 24E1Q is also good for entry-level graphic design.

The brightness level of this monitor is 250-nits and its contrast ratio is 1000:1. These specs are common for most budget monitors. You will have no problems using this monitor in a well-lit room. The contrast level is decent enough to make colors pop out and make pictures look gorgeous.

The overall uniformity of this panel is decent. The colors are consistent throughout the panel without any ups and downs.

The overall build quality is decent. The plastic used doesn’t feel cheap and is strong and sturdy. The backside of the monitor has a matte finish and prevents smudges from forming on it. The stand has a square base with a hollow to make cable management easy. It is sturdy and doesn’t wobble.

There are five OSD buttons present on the right-hand side of the lower bezel. One of them is the power button and the rest of them help you to adjust various settings. They are user-friendly and responsive.

The ergonomics of this stand is limited to 3.5° / +21.5° Tilt functionality. You cannot adjust its height, swivel it, or rotate it. There is a 100x100mm VESA pattern present on its back that helps you wall mount it or connect it to a third-party stand.

The connectivity options of this monitor are generous. They are: HDMI 1.4 x 1, DisplayPort 1.2 x 1, VGA x 1. Most monitors in its price range do not have a DisplayPort so it is good to see AOC include that in this monitor. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack present.
