Though there are a lot of different headsets available, some prove to be better for calls than others. So, if you’re meeting up on Skype or Microsoft Teams with your work colleagues on a regular basis, then it makes sense to invest in a high quality headset.

The right headset will be within your price range, whilst meeting all the other criteria you set out too. Comfort, sound quality and connectivity should be at the top of your list when it comes to what you need from a headset. So, here are a few of the best headset that are currently available right now.

As usual, I’m considering these headphones on a price to quality ratio. And if you’re looking for the best possible quality at a reasonable price, then you’ll struggle to find anything better than this V5.0 Mpow headset. This headset is particularly impressive for a few reasons.

Firstly, the battery life of 22 hours is pretty accurate. This means that you won’t need to recharge your headset all time time, and if you add up your calls throughout the week, it’s probably going to be less than once every week or two. Secondly, this is a noise cancelling headset, which typically you won’t find for this cost. Usually with cheaper headsets, they advertise themselves, but they really aren’t. However this headset manages to block out all exterior noises so you can hear the other person clearly, and they can hear you.

And finally, this headset is extremely comfortable and light. It won’t feel like a chore to wear it for an entire day. So, if you’re looking for a low cost headset, then I’d advise you look at this Mpow office model.

Microsoft Surface Headset

Microsoft Surface Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones (Platinum)

Second on my list of best office Bluetooth headsets is the Microsoft Surface headphones. Although they are expensive, they’re a good choice if you can afford them.

One of the benefits of this headset is that they’re easily integrated with Cortana. So if you use other Microsoft products, then it makes sense to pick up a pair of these as you can use them together. They have pretty much everything that you could ask from a pair of headphones. They have full noise cancellation, and you can control them from either your laptop or from the headset itself too. The cup design is made specifically to fit around your ear too, so they’re comfortable and ergonomic.

With a wide frequency range between 20 – 20000 Hz, this headset would suit someone who truly cares about the quality of their sound. Although like I said, they may be one the expensive side for some.

Jabra Evolve 75

Jabra Evolve 75 MS Wireless Stereo On-Ear Headset – Microsoft Certified Headphones With Long-Lasting Battery – USB Bluetooth Adapter – Black

The Jabra Evolve series has been one of the most popular headsets in recent years. And although I loved the 65’s, the Evolve 75’s are even better.

You can order this headset solo, or you can purchase it with an additional charging stand too. This can make it a lot easier to stay organised, as you can hang your headset up when you’re finished for the day. They have a decent enough 18 hour battery life, which should be more than enough for the majority of people. One of the best things about this headset is that it’s capable of dual connectivity – this means you can set it up with several devices at once. That means no changing or hassle if you want to switch connection between your phone and your laptop.

They work up to 100 feet distance away from whichever device you’re going to connect them to. With a solid 2 year warranty, this headset might be one of the best options out there.

Another Mpow headset in the list, which is no surprise. Although they are one of the cheaper brands, that doesn’t mean that they don’t provide good quality products. This noise cancelling headset can reduce background noise to 32dB which will allow you to focus on your work.

Although they are one of the cheaper headsets available, they actually have a really long battery life of 30 hours. Plus, you have the ability to use this set wired if you want to. As a larger headset, they are going to be much heavier than a lot of other models, but it really depends on your preference. They are quite large, but they are still comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time. The earpads are also rotatable, which helps comfort-wise.

If you’d prefer a larger headset that’s more durable, then this is definitely another option worth considering.

Office Headset Buying Guide

How do I choose a Bluetooth headset?

If you’re trying to decide on a bluetooth headset, then there are definitely a few things that you should think about before purchasing. Firstly, the talk time – you want a headset that you’re not going to have to charge every hour. Second, comfort – you can either choose a big bulky headset with padding which is likely to be more comfortable but more cumbersome, or something lighter but probably lower in sound quality.

How far can a Bluetooth headset reach?

It differs for every Bluetooth headset, but generally Bluetooth headsets can reach around 9 or 10 metres away.

Will my Bluetooth headset work when it’s not charged?

Again, this really depends on the headset. But, the majority of headsets won’t work via a wired connection only, so if they do run out of battery, you’ll need to charge them before or using use.

Do people still use Bluetooth headsets?

Yes! It’s pretty common for people in offices to still use Bluetooth headsets nowadays as they still provide a high quality connection to your computer or laptop.

Are wired headphones better than wireless headphones?

Generally, you’re going to get a better sound quality with a pair of wired headphones over a pair of wireless ones. However, if you find the right deal then you can find a pair of wireless headphones that’s actually better quality than most of the wired ones out there.

Conclusion

A good Bluetooth headset will give you the ability to talk to clients and colleagues for long hours without disruption. You don’t need anything fancy, just a decent quality headset with a good connection that’s comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time.

Different headsets will work for different people, so it’s worth looking around and seeing if you can find a pair you think will suit you. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment below.
