What is the Deco Gear DGVIEW430?

The Deco Gear DGVIEW430 is a 43-inch ultrawide monitor offering you a true bang for your buck. Deco Gear is a relatively new monitor brand. Should you take a chance on it?

In simple terms, Yes. To know more, read this review.

Deco Gear DGVIEW430 – Image Quality

The Deco Gear DGVIEW430 is a 43-inch (3840×1200 32:10) ultrawide monitor. It sports a VA panel that covers 95% of the sRGB color gamut. It supports 8-bit color depth.

The image quality of this monitor is decent. The colors are fairly accurate and result in crisp visuals. It has a static contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a brightness level of 320-nits.

Its high contrast ratio makes images look true to life. The blacks look deeper and the whites look brighter. It is fairly bright even when used in a well-lit room so I suggest you not use it at maximum brightness.

Though the color accuracy of this monitor is decent, you can tweak its color settings to further improve it.

It has 178-degree wide viewing angles. You won’t have any washed-out colors like in TN panel monitors when you view it from extreme angles.

It has a pixel density of 92PPI which is decent. The text looks sharp without any blurriness and images are quite detailed without any pixelation.

The panel uniformity of this monitor is fine. It is accurate at the center of the monitor but I observed some irregularities in brightness and color toward the edges. This isn’t a big letdown and is expected considering its huge size. Unless you are a color-critical photographer or graphic designer, this won’t affect your experience in a significant way.

The 3840 x 1200 is equivalent to having two 24-inch 1920 x 1200 monitors side by side. It offers you plenty of screen real estate helping you maximize your productivity at work. I have discussed this further in the Additional Features section below.

It has an HDR 400 rating. Its HDR performance is bad. I wouldn’t suggest you buy this monitor for consuming HDR content.

The Deco Gear DGVIEW430 we reviewed had no dead pixels on it. I observed only a little backlight bleeding towards its edges. It isn’t too distracting and is present in pretty much every VA panel monitor.

Its screen has a matte anti-glare coating on it that prevents any reflections from forming on it.

Overall, the image quality of this monitor is satisfactory. It is a great choice for office use, multimedia consumption, and gaming. Except for a few minor inconveniences, I do not have any major complaints about it. For its price, I couldn’t ask for more.

Deco Gear DGVIEW430 – Design, Ergonomics, and Connectivity

The build quality of the Deco Gear DGVIEW430 is very good. It is made of durable plastic. The plastic on its back has a matte finish that prevents smudges. It has ultrathin bezels that maximize its viewing area.

Its screen has a curvature of 1800R. It helps maximize your immersion while watching movies and playing games.

The Deco Gear DGVIEW430 comes in a simple design. It doesn’t have any aesthetic features like RGB lights that you see in high-end gaming monitors.

There are OSD buttons present on the lower bezel of this monitor. The OSD menu is simple and easy to navigate. There is also a remote control included using which you can do the same.

This monitor uses a v-shaped stand. It is not wobbly and stays firm. In terms of its ergonomic, it only offers you a -5° to 17° tilt. You cannot adjust its height, swivel it or rotate it. There is a 75x75mm VESA pattern present in its back using which you can wall-mount it.

Its connectivity options include: HDMI x 3, DisplayPort x 1. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and 2 x 5W built-in speakers. The sound output is fair but for serious gaming and watching movies, I would suggest using an external speaker.

Deco Gear DGVIEW430 – Gaming Performance

The Deco Gear DGVIEW430 is a great choice for sim racing and Flight Simulators. Its large curved screen is best suited for playing single-player games and MOBAs.

It has an impressive refresh rate of 120Hz. The gameplay will be twice as smooth as those of 60Hz monitors. You will never go back to 60Hz once you experience 120Hz.

It also supports AMD’s FreeSync technology. It helps prevent screen tearing and stuttering while gaming. This offers you an uninterrupted gaming experience. You can also use it with Nvidia graphics cards.

Its response time is around 4ms (GtG) and its input lag is around 9ms which is decent. I observed minimal ghosting in dark areas of fast-paced games. This is a problem faced by almost all VA panel monitors. I wouldn’t suggest this monitor for competitive gamers.

Deco Gear DGVIEW430 – Additional Features

The PIP (Picture-in-Picture) and PBP (Picture-by-Picture) features help you multitask seamlessly.

The PIP feature makes use of this monitor’s generous screen real estate and divides it into several segments to which you can assign different applications.  This helps boost your productivity while working since you will not always be switching between multiple windows.

The PBP feature helps display inputs from two different sources.

The Deco Gear DGVIEW430 has a blue light filter that prevents eye strain due to prolonged use. It is also a flicker-free monitor so you won’t experience any headaches while using it.

It also comes with a bunch of other features such as color modes, overdrive, FPS and RTS gaming modes, etc.
