Dell SE2719H - Image Quality

The Dell SE2719H is a 1920×1080 (Full HD) Monitor that uses an IPS Panel. It has an amazing picture quality. Images are sharp and crisp looking. It covers ~98% of the sRGB Color Gamut (ie. 72% CIE 1931). This means the colors have a good amount of accuracy in them.

This monitor is not meant for professional graphic designers. Read this article to know more about the best monitors for graphic design.

Dell advertised a 300cb/m2 brightness rating and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The results in real-life conditions vary. The Brightness peaks at 250cb/m2 and the contrast ratio at around 700:1. This is common for most monitors.

The color quality is great nonetheless and the images appear vibrant. Most average users will have no problems. They should be enough for watching movies, office work, or casual gaming.

The Dell SE2719H has a pixel density of 81 PPI. This is because of the 27-inch screen. A 24-inch screen at 1080p resolution has more pixel density. As long as you have an arm’s length distance between you and your monitor, you won’t have any issues.

The IPS Panels are known for their impressive picture quality and wide viewing angles. This monitor has a good amount of brightness and contrast levels than a TN Panel Monitor. Though the constant levels of VA Panels are much higher, the IPS panels provide better overall image quality.

The panel uniformity of this monitor is good. The 178-degree viewing angles provide you with consistent colors when viewed from all the angles without any changes in color and contrast levels.

It also has no major issues of IPS glow or backlight bleeding.

This monitor has a Low Haze coating. It is neither completely glossy nor completely anti-glare. There will be reflections visible on it. As long as there is no light source directly opposite to the monitor, you’ll be fine

Dell SE2719H - Design, Ergonomics and Connectivity

The design of the Dell SE2719H is simple and professional. This monitor has thin bezels on three sides that allow you to use it for multi-monitor setups without any distractions.

The rear part of the monitor has a glossy finish. All the surfaces are polished properly without any issues of uneven finishing or sharp edges. The plastic used in this monitor also feels sturdy.

The OSD buttons are located on the lower right-hand bottom of the monitor. They are handy to use and responsive. Of course, joysticks offer more convenience but buttons are the standard in most budget monitors.

The stand is sturdy and doesn’t wobble. It also has room for effective cable management. The stand has no ergonomic capabilities except for a 5-degree forward tilt and 21-degree rear tilt. Height adjustment, screen rotation, and swivel capabilities are absent.

This monitor also does not support VESA Mounting options. You cannot wall mount it or use it with a third-party stand.

The connectivity options of this monitor include HDMI 1.4 x 1, VGA x 1. It has no USB Hub containing USB ports and no in-built speakers. This is expected considering its price.
