The Deco Gear DGVIEW201Check Price on Amazon is a 35-inch Ultrawide QHD (3440 x 1440) Monitor. It is based on a VA panel. It covers 95% of the sRGB color gamut and supports 8-bit color depth.
The 3440 x 1440 resolution offers you higher screen real estate when compared to 1080p displays. Using the PIP and PBP features, you can make use of large space to improve your productivity at work. I have explained in detail about these features further below.
The image quality of this monitor is good. It produces vibrant and true-to-life visuals. It is a great choice for gaming and multimedia consumption. Besides color-critical graphic design, you can use it for pretty much anything.
It has a brightness level of 250-nits and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It is a fairly bright monitor. You can use it in a well-lit room without having any issues with it.
Its high contrast ratio results in deeper-looking blacks and bright whites. Its overall panel uniformity is decent. I did not find any major inequalities in color, brightness, and contrast levels across the panel.
Its 178-degree wide viewing angles offer the least change in color and brightness levels when you look at it from extreme angles. It doesn’t cause washed-out visuals like TN panel monitors when you view it from extreme angles.
It has a decent pixel density of 107 PPI. This makes images look detailed without any issues of pixelation. The text looks crisp without any blurriness.
The Deco Gear DGVIEW201Check Price on Amazon has no HDR certification, unlike its many other peers. Honestly, I don’t think this is a major issue. Most of its peers despite being HDR certified did not offer any breathtaking HDR experience. For its price, I won’t expect it to be HDR certified.
There were no dead pixels on the monitor I reviewed. It also had only minimal VA glow towards its edges. It has a matte anti-glare coating on its edges that diffuses any reflections that form on it.
On the whole, I’m really impressed with its image quality. Of course, I wouldn’t put it in the same league as $1000+ LG ultrawide monitors but I can confidently say that I got more than what I paid for.
